Cappuccino
How it got its name: The color of the coffee was thought to resemble the color of Capuchin friars’ habits.
How to make it: Combine equal parts of espresso, hot steamed milk, and frothed milk.

Espresso con Panna
What it means: This is Italian for "espresso with cream".
How to make it: Take a shot of espresso and top it off with a dollop of whipped cream.
Espresso Granita
What it means: “Granito” comes from the word “grano” meaning “grain” in Italian.
What it is: A slushy chopped ice dessert (the grainy texture of ice gives it its name) made from espresso.
How to make it: Brew some extra strong, sweetened espresso and freeze it. Once frozen, crush finely, and place in a clear glass. Layer whipped cream on top.
Iced Mocha
What it is: Caffe Mocha served cold with ice.
How to make it: Add a teaspoon of chocolate powder to the bottom of a glass.
Pour in an espresso and mix well. Add milk until the glass is two thirds full and mix. Add ice. Enjoy!
Caffe Latte
What it means: Caffe Latte is Italian for "coffee with milk".
How to make it: Put a shot or two of espresso in a cup and fill it with frothy steamed milk.
Macchiato
What it means: Macchiato is Italian for "spotted".
Worth knowing: There are two types of Macchiato - "Latte Macchiato" and "Caffe Macchiato".
How to make it: To make a Latte Macchiato, fill a glass with frothy steamed milk and pour espresso over it making sure to leave a dark spot on top.
To make a Caffe Macchiato, also called Espresso Macchiato, fill a small glass with espresso and top off with a spoonful of frothed milk.
